Youth Festival 2018: Day Three

The third day of Middlesex University Dubai’s 8th Annual Youth Festival commenced with 7 of the most exciting competitions, with 388 students taking part.

We saw winners of the popular Drama competitions, showcase their inspiring monologues, perform skilled short skits and hilarious ‘mad advertisements’. The judges were members of the Dubai based MVTV Productions, who specialise in short film making. While we watched over 60 actors in action, 120 FIFA enthusiasts battled for the winning throne in the MDX gaming room! At the same time, 21 poets and 17 short story writers sent in their artistic written work to our esteemed judges.  Our Advert Design competition also happened on this day! At the other end of the city 80 students took part in our annual YF badminton and table tennis tournaments – it was all go for Middlesex Dubai Students today!

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
