Sports & Cultural Awards 2018

Middlesex University Dubai celebrated the end of an exciting and successful year for Team Middlesex by hosting the Sports & Cultural Awards at The Address Dubai Mall on 15 April 2018, with over 220 students and staff in attendance.
The University provides a student experience with a difference, and this year academic year saw over 70 events organised by our Student Activities Departments, ranging from field trips and workshops to seminars, blood donations and so much more. Such events could not have been so successful without the selfless and continuous support of the University’s management and departmental staff, who were awarded last night for their commitment to enhancing the student experience.
The main purpose of the award ceremony was to celebrate our incredible student volunteers, who dedicated over 3,600 hours volunteering at University events this academic year. 303 volunteers, together with our Clubs and Sports Teams and Student Council made a significant and positive mark on the student community here at MDX Dubai, for which we could not be more proud of.
Over 150 students received recognition, from our Most Valuable Volunteers of whom completed the Middlesex Volunteering Programme, to the Rising Stars and Best Coordinators of our numerous Student Clubs and the Best Sportsmen and Players of the year. Several of our graduating students were honoured with a glass trophy for their outstanding contribution to student life on campus, along with our Coach Mohamed, who was awarded for 8 years of selfless dedication and support to football at Middlesex University Dubai.
Once again we thank Team Middlesex – Dragana, Selma, Slavko and Sasa and to all of our students for another hugely successful year, and congratulate all on their great individual and team achievements.
