His Excellency Dr Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri

In 2020/21, the Honorary Doctorate was awarded to His Excellency Dr Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Aldhaheri.  

Upon completing his MBA with distinction from the American University in Washington DC, His Excellency Dr Aldhaheri put his knowledge to work in founding, launching, and managing several successful business entities across a number of different sectors: IT, finance, education, tourism, and real estate. In keeping with his philosophy of continual learning, he completed his PhD studies with Durham University. 

His Excellency Dr Aldhaheri has been involved at a high level with government tourism and development strategy, MICE and education management, to name a few. He currently holds a number of key positions, such as Chairman and Founder of Abu Dhabi University, CEO of Abu Dhabi University Holding Company, Managing Director of Bin Harmal Group, Chairman of Liwa Education, and Magna Investments. 

Since receiving his honorary degree from MDX Dubai, Dr Aldhaheri has continued to serve on various boards and committees, such as, Amanat Holding PJSC, Al Ramz Corporation, the Economic Cooperation Committee for Government and Private Sectors Abu Dhabi, Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, and Sandooq al Watan. He also serves as the First Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
