Chancellor Dame Janet Ritterman and Vice Chancellor Professor Tim Blackman visit Middlesex University Dubai

  • Thursday, 9 November 2017

Middlesex University Dubai welcomed Dame Janet Ritterman, Chancellor Middlesex University and Vice Chancellor Professor Tim Blackman to the campus on 5 November 2017. Our wonderful Student Activities Department and Team Middlesex proudly hosted a two hour event at the brand new HUB19.

The esteemed guests met with a group of over 40 students: our social club coordinators, sports captains and cultural activists, and saw first-hand the vibrant student life and extracurricular activities available on campus.

The morning continued with a magnificent student performance in our newly opened Dance Studio, where we saw some remarkable hip-hop, afro fusion and eastern classical dances, presented by our Dance Club. Both the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor praised the dances for their brilliant performance and their dedication and enthusiasm to extracurricular activities. The visit ended with a heartwarming performance from the Music Club in the brand new music room.

This beautiful morning was best described by Vice Chancellor Professor Tim Blackman himself, who summed it up with this tweet after their visit to HUB19:

“Dance club – amazing performance! The campus buzzes with sport, clubs & societies run by students for students, from 70 countries”.
