Team MDX emerge victorious at the Dubai Inter School League

Middlesex University Dubai’s Team Middlesex emerged as multi-champions of the first season of Dubai Inter School League last week.

Our Women’s Basketball Team and Men’s Volleyball Team won the league on Wednesday 28 February. Our fantastic Men’s Basketball Team also played in the finals and took the 2nd place.

In an exciting final match, Middlesex Queens beat Canadian University Dubai with a result of 33-18. MDX Volleyball Men ended what has been a spectacular season for them this year, with a win over Amity University of 25-21, 25-18. Our Men’s Basketball Team took second place against a strong performance from Canadian University Dubai in the final 10 seconds, with a 4 points difference.

We thank all of the organisers and participants in the League’s starting season, and we look forward to the new autumn start – refreshed and ready to defend our titles.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
