From Homeless to Entrepreneur

Mr Flemming Rontved, the General Manager at ESQL world attended the event organized for MDX students, sharing with the students his personal experience on how his status changed from living on the streets to becoming an Entrepreneur. He discussed the challenges he faced and how he overcame them. The students were able to understand that a dream could be realised no matter the challenges as long as the willingness is great. They realised that giving up is never an option but determination and persistence are some of the ingredients of success.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
