Working as a Human Resources Professional

Representatives from Movenpick Hotels & Resorts, Christina Banavalikar and Peter Mitchell visited the University during the career workshop held on 21st February 2019 for the students in the Human Resource Management programme. They enlightened our students on the current jobs in the field as well as the roles of human resource professionals. Students found the event very helpful as they were able to relate what is being taught to them about the roles and responsibilities of an HR professional with what is they heard from the industry experts regarding that. They gained insights on career pathways in HR and what skills they are expected to possess to be more suitable candidates for jobs in the field.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
