MDX Studios wins big at the Emirates Short Film Festival 2019

‘Hers Truly’, written and directed by Class of 2018 BA Honours Film alumna Sreelakshmi Sateesh received six nominations and three major wins at the recent Emirates Short Film Festival 2019 where she was accompanied by three of her classmates Walid Kifah, Hiedy Riyan, and Fady Sadek, along with adjunct Film Lecturer Afroz Nawaf.

The film was created as part of her thesis project and has already garnered recognition in over 8 film festivals across the globe.

The Emirates Short Film Festival (ESFF) was founded in 2013 and has been a strong supporter for up and coming filmmakers in the region. The judges consisted of Emirati Filmmakers along with leading industry professionals. Among all of the submissions, about 185 filmmakers were publically screening at VOX Cineplex.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
