CEI Student Danish Nihal Wins First Prize at Hackathon

We are thrilled to announce that Computer Engineering and Informatics student, Danish Nihal, recently won first prize at the IN5 Blockchain Hackathon, organised in collaboration with Oracle Middle East and Emirates NBD Bank. Danish and his team won a cheque for AED 5,000 and a complimentary IN5 membership for 5 months. Congratulations Danish on this incredible achievement! 

“I would like to convey special thanks to IN5 Dubai, Oracle and Emirates NBD for hosting the IN5 Blockchain Hackathon. Most importantly, I’d like to thank my wonderful professors – Dr Fehmida Hussain, Dr Krishnadas Nanath, Judhi Prasetyo, Engie Bashir, and Jaspreet Singh for guiding and motivating me throughout my journey at Middlesex University Dubai,” Danish said.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
