MDX Dubai students participate in event in conjunction with Dubai Business Associates

  • Sunday, 13 October 2019

On Thursday 3 October, students from Middlesex University Dubai participated in an exciting event in conjunction with the prestigious Dubai Business Associates (DBA) programme. The MDX participants included Journalism Students - Elena Stoica, Pranav Prasanna, Sukayna Kazmia, Ayush Narayanan, and Maheshpreet Narula, and from the Business School - Don Edward Priyan Wisidagamage, Safa Noufar, Hajar Abdul Wahid, Zainab Zahid Sait, Andrea Anthonia Mendez, and Maria Sikandar Butt. The students were mentored and supported by financial journalist and MDX visiting lecturer Nadya Masidlover, along with Journalism Lecturer Mark Lomas and Rory McConnon, Campus Programme Coordinator from the Business School.

The event involved DBA participants presenting their investment call analysis and recommendations, while our Middlesex students posed hard-hitting questions in a pressroom setting.  The students also demonstrated how the financial news media would interpret the results.  The event gave both sides valuable experience of building media relationships, insights into the field of professional financial analysis, and offered all of the participants a unique opportunity to make new contacts from across the world.

The Dubai Business Associates programme is a highly competitive management training and cultural ambassadorship programme, run under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.  Middlesex University Dubai is honoured to have been invited to participate in this event, and looks forward to future fruitful collaboration.
