CEI student success at Fikra university

  • Sunday, 15 December 2019

Fikra University 2019 program under Etihad Airways invited students from universities to submit solutions and ideas on Seamless travel, endless possibilities. After receiving hundreds of entries, Middlesex University Dubai team was among the six finalists. Our students Lavesh Bhatia, Salman Reham from 2nd year IT, Nikita Bhatia from 3rd year Accounting and Finance presented “Vision Etihad”, a mobile application that was built keeping in mind the problems faced by the visually impaired travelers at the airport. The application can help these passengers to navigate independently from post immigration point to the boarding gate. The idea was in line with Etihad’s vision. The judging panel of Etihad Aviation Group Chiefs and executives from SAP, Cognizant and IBM were impressed by the solution as well as the spot on Q&A session. The students were guided by external mentors as well as MDX mentors. Jaspreet Singh and Dr Vijaya Kumar. Congratulations to the students, and we are proud of them.
