On-campus Interview Session for MSc Investment Management students with UHY James Chartered Accountants

The Department of Accounting and Finance organised an on-campus interview session for MSc Investment Management students. Priyanka Ghasita, Manager in Corporate Finance at UHY James Chartered Accountants interviewed the shortlisted candidates. The advisory firm will offer a one month internship to one of our students in the field of corporate finance.

This industry partnership is tailored to provide practical insights to the concepts learnt in classroom for the applied Corporate Finance and Valuation module. The full batch of students had visited the same advisory firm earlier in December 2019 for a technical session on equity valuation and gained valuable tips from a practitioner perspective. The students then undertook a massive assignment to perform a live business valuation of a listed company in UK.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
