His Excellency Khalfan Juma Belhoul
In 2022, the Honorary Doctorate was awarded to His Excellency Khalfan Juma Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Future Foundation.
This award was in recognition of his commitment to empowering a culture of technological innovation and entrepreneurship across the UAE in order to shape a better future.
His career journey began following his time at Boston University in the United States, where he acquired a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management Information Systems and a master’s degree in E-commerce. Prior to joining the Foundation, HE Khalfan served as the Vice President of Strategy at Dubai Holding and played a key role in setting up the Belhoul Investment Office.
Dubai Future Foundation is a platform for collaboration, bringing together individuals, educational institutions, organisations, and government entities to transform their visions for their community and Dubai as a whole into reality. In turn, these entities are able to achieve sustainable and effective business operations that ensures their continued contributions to Dubai’s society and economy.
Since receiving his honorary degree from MDX Dubai, HE Khalfan has continued to lead Dubai Future Foundation and several initiatives that provide the environment and resources needed to promote disruptive, positive change through knowledge sharing and prototyping of ideas. He has also taken up positions as a board member of the Emirates Development Bank and the UAE Football Association.
In 2024 he presided over the official launch of MDX Innovation Hub (MIH). The Hub offers comprehensive support to students in transforming their business ideas into reality and enhancing their prospects in the competitive global job market.
