Programme overview
The ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (ICAEW CFAB) is a globally recognised qualification offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). It is made up of six modules, including Accounting.
The Accounting module, which is available to study at Middlesex University Dubai, introduces students to the fundamental principles and techniques of accounting. It provides a strong foundation for preparing financial statements and understanding how they are used in business decision-making.
This module is suitable for:

Who will I be taught by?
Dr Pallavi Kishore
Pallavi holds a Ph.D. in economics and is a qualified statistician and Chartered Accountant. Having graduated in Statistics from Delhi University, her academic journey includes the attainment of a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong in Australia, where she also served as a lecturer in Accounting and Statistics and a PhD in Economics from Middlesex University London.
A fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), a member of the Accountants and Auditors Association (UAE), and a Chartered Accountant of the United Arab Emirates (UAECA), Pallavi brings a wealth of expertise to her roles. With over 18 years of teaching and research experience, she has successfully led diverse cohorts of students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Pallavi’s research interests span the fields of Accounting, Statistics, Education, and Econometrics. She imparts knowledge across a wide range of subjects, including Financial and Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Financial Data Analysis, Statistics, Advanced Business Statistics, and Econometrics.

Mariam Aslam
Mariam graduated with a BA Honours in Business Administration from Middlesex University before studying for her MSc in Finance and Management from Cranfield University (UK). She is currently pursuing her PhD in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University, London. Her learning and teaching interests include Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Climate Risk, Investment Banking, Quantitative Methods, Research Methods in Finance, Securities and Derivatives, International Financial Markets, Sustainable Finance, Corporate Finance and Economics.
