What is the Middlesex Student Survey (MSS)?
The MSS is a Middlesex University survey of Foundation and Undergraduate students in the UK and all campuses of Middlesex including our Dubai campus. Managed independently by Ipsos MORI, the survey is completely anonymous, and the results will highlight what we're doing right at Middlesex, as well as identifying the key areas where you think we could improve.
When does the 2018/19 Middlesex Student Survey (MSS) start?
All foundation and undergraduate students across Middlesex University Dubai campus can complete the MSS from 25 February 2019 onwards. In the initial two weeks there will be plenty of awareness activities around our campus and fun competitions for students who complete the survey.
How do I take part?
You have been sent an invitation email to complete the survey on your Middlesex University Student Email address (for example, firstname.lastname@example.org, where xx are your initials, and nnn is a number generated by the system). The sender of this email is Middlesex University Dubai (email@example.com). The email will include a unique link to the survey – please do not share this link with others. You can complete the MSS online or via a mobile device.
How long does the MSS run for?
The deadline for the MSS has been extended to 21st March 2019.
What overall response rate is Middlesex Dubai aiming for this year?
We are aiming for at least 85% response rate from all eligible students. The past year’s response rate was 78% of total eligible students.
The results of the survey are intended to be made publicly available to inform prospective students about where and what to study. It gives you the chance to let future students know about your university experience. It takes a few minutes to complete and gives you the opportunity to show the world how you value your programme and university experience. To be able to publish the results, each campus and each programme needs to achieve minimum response rates.
How can I get involved in MSS activities?
Numerous activities will take place during this year's MSS in Hub 19, Block 16 Foyer and across other areas of the campus and the Residences. We are working with the Student Council and a number of Student Clubs and Societies to fun and exciting events. To thank you for taking the time to complete the survey, there will be daily raffle draws with over 360 students to be selected at random to receive prizes. The aim of the prize draws is to encourage more students to complete the survey.
