DXB Super 6’s 2025: Cricket, Community, and Careers Collide in Blockbuster Weekend
- Wednesday, 4 June 2025
The cricket crease at U-Pro Dubai in Al Quoz was awash with energy over the weekend as the DXB Super 6’s, proudly sponsored by Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai, returned in grand style.
The competition, which took place from 30 May to 1 June 2025, featured nine corporate teams, including MDX Dubai, battling it out in a fast-paced indoor cricket showdown.
The university team were led by former professional cricketer turned presenter Charvi Bhatt, who has recently taken a position at MDX Dubai as a Sports Partnerships and Development Executive.
Having built a strong following from previous editions, this year’s Super 6’s delivered nail-biting matches and shone a spotlight on sport as a powerful unifier across cultures and communities in Dubai.
RHS Group came out on top after beating defending champions Jotun Paints in the final. MDX Dubai produced a strong showing in the tournament, and the university used the event as a platform to showcase their newly launched UK-accredited sports programmes.
Attendees got an exclusive preview into innovative degrees such as the BSc Sport and Exercise Science, MSc Strength and Conditioning, complementing the successful MSc Sport Performance Analysis, each designed to blend academic rigour with hands-on experience in biomechanics, physiology, sports psychology, and performance analytics.
Charvi said: “The DXB Super 6’s is more than just a tournament, it’s a celebration of community, and opportunity. We were thrilled to connect with cricket fans and aspiring students alike, showing how education and sport can work hand in hand to build promising futures.”
