Do you want to make a change, and be a voice for your peers at Middlesex University Dubai? Student Council is your opportunity to represent your class, put forward your opinions, and help to find solutions in matters relating to the student experience.

What is the student council?
The Student Council is a student committee responsible for deciding action on student-led ideas for change, improving the student experience on campus. The Middlesex University Dubai Student Council aims to establish a recognised means of communication between the student body and the University authorities, as well as with other organisations. The Student Council is an effective tool that allows students to share their interests, ideas, and concerns with faculty and staff.
Student Council Objectives
- Represent student interests in a way that adds value to both students and MDX. This also means advocating for policies that benefit the student body.
- Organise events for students that facilitate personal growth, career development, and networking opportunities in the wider community. These events should aim to foster collaboration among students with diverse skill sets and backgrounds and require prior approval from the Deputy Director of Student Experience.
- Foster open communication and address issues in a structured manner on a regular basis, providing suggestions for improvements or changes.
- Participation in School Outreach programmes and collaboration with MDX Dubai societies and Alumni activities.
How can I be part of the student council?
Nominate yourself to represent your programme on the School Council board!
Deadline to submit your application is 27 February 2024 to q March 2024.
Please fill out the registration form with details on how you can add value to the student council team and the university.
We will contact successful candidates on 11 March - 13 March 2024 and the open mic night will be held on 14 March 2024.
Online voting will be held on 15 March - 19 March 2024.
