Women in Power
About the Collection
Traditionally, men have been linked with positions of power and authority. It is believed that
women are excessively sensitive, delicate, and feeble. They are frequently advised to appear
masculine in order to thrive in their professional careers or more feminine to please society. This
keeps women stuck in stereotypes and keeps them from escaping and developing a clear sense
of who they are.
By giving a combination of what society views as masculine and feminine, this collection aims to subvert conventional prejudices. Boundaries don't exist. Additionally, I believe that by employing a sustainable strategy, in my instance, upcycling a prom dress, and using deadstock fabric for the lace, it will bring to light of what truly is important, both morally and sustainably.
