Declaration of Readiness to Return to Campus and Travel

 

Travel Guidelines

Ahead of travelling

Students must complete the Travel Declaration to inform the University of any upcoming overseas travel the form can be found here

Returning from travelling

All students returning from overseas travel must follow below steps before joining campus: 

  • All students must declare their recent overseas travel history by completing the DHA form online

  • All students must complete the Declaration of Readiness to Return to Campus  form online here

  • All students who have returned from travel overseas require a negative PCR test with a 48-hour validity, in order to resume learning at the University. Tests taken overseas will not be valid. Re-testing is required upon reaching Dubai and results must be within 48 hours before joining campus. 

  • All Students should send a copy of their negative PCR test to HSO@mdx.ac.ae and await a confirmation email of your Approval to Return to Campus 

  • Students who do not have a negative PCR test result with a 48-hour validity or await your University Approval to Return to Campus, will be required to study online for 14 days from their arrival date and you must inform your lecturer.

  • Students can book an appointment at one of DHA tests centres through the following link: https://www.dubaihealthbooking.com

These are the DHA tests centers: - 

  1. Shabab Al Ahli Club
  2. Al Nasr Club
  3. Al Hamriya Port Majilis
  4. Rashidiya Majilis
  5. Jumeirah 1 Port Majilis

Alternatively, students can take a test at any other medical/lab DHA approved facility. 

Staff or students before coming back to Dubai, they can do a PCR test depending on the country they are coming back from in one of the recognized tests centers as per Emirates Airlines list. *(this is for travel purposes and NOT to join campus as the test will not be valid to join campus).

The PCR test may be completed at Dubai airport or any approved DHA facility within the emirate.  

Passengers arriving from one of the countries below will do a PCR test at the airport, this test can only be used to return to campus if within 48 Hours, otherwise another test will need to be taken.

Countries:  Angola, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Ghana, Senegal, Tunisia, Uganda, Sudan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Somaliland, Tanzania, Syria, Eritrea, Kenya, Jordan, Morocco, Iraq, South Sudan, Djibouti, Guinea, Zimbabwe, Iran, Lebanon, Israel, Czech Republic, Romania, Montenegro, Malta, Georgia, Ukraine, Greece, Croatia, Cyprus, Hungary, Russia, Slovakia, Moldova, Pakistan, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Philippine, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Nepal, Uzbekistan, USA (California, Florida and Texas), Argentina, Chile

*The test is free of cost at the airport but subject to change.

It is mandatory that ALL students at Middlesex University Dubai must complete the University Travel Declaration Form and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) form.
