International Women’s Day 2021

As we commemorate International Women’s Day, we recognize the tremendous challenges facing women that have been exasperated by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Acknowledging that the COVID-19 pandemic has meant further reduced mobilities for women, many may find themselves isolated in violent situations or removed from loved ones when they need support through maternity. Due to the feminization of front line jobs, women are increasingly exposed to the virus. In addition to this, globally care and domestic work has increased which has largely been born by women and is already impacting on their future career options. 

Faculty and Students at Middlesex University Dubai are engaged in a range of multi-disciplinary research projects and international collaborations which aim to make women’s lives better.
