CFA Society Emirates Visit MDX Campus

Middlesex University Dubai was pleased to welcome the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society Emirates to our campus on 5 February 2024. The CFA Institute is a global organisation that provides investment professionals with finance education, promoting standards in ethics, education and professional excellence. Obtaining a CFA certification is one of the highest distinctions in the investment management field, where applicants gain expertise to thrive in the real-world of competitive investing. The CFA boasts a network of more than 190,000 professionals who have been recognised globally for their commitment to ethics and professionalism.

Mr. Fadi Sabbah, Vice Chairman of the Society, shared his journey as a CFA Charterholder with our 100+ Accounting and Finance students. Mr. Fadi’s honest account of his CFA exam preparations, challenges, failures, and success stories offered a personalised and holistic perspective on building resilience to succeed in a competitive landscape. Fadi’s words enlightened the students on the power of continuous learning, soft skill development, and, most importantly, the role of ethics in the finance industry.

Middlesex University Dubai is a member of the CFA Institute’s affiliation program, with a dedicated team of academic staff that consults for leaders in business and government. Our BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance and MSc Investment Management programmes are accredited by the CFA Institute, and our courses equip students to smoothly transition into the professional certification courses, giving prominence to employability. This event was a fantastic opportunity for our students to listen to real-world experiences and address a CFA Charterholder on a wide range of questions on career opportunities and the essential skill sets to enter the finance industry.
