  • Thursday, 3 October 2024

Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai have unveiled a host of new and upgraded facilities designed to enhance the academic experience for the diverse student body.

More than 5,600 new and returning students were welcomed in September and now have access to cutting-edge spaces that cater to a variety of disciplines, redefining the student experience.

At the heart of the campus transformation is the newly inaugurated Study District 2, a vibrant space that fosters collaboration and innovation. This dynamic environment is designed to inspire creativity and enhance learning, providing students with the perfect backdrop for academic success.

Understanding the importance of collaborative learning, MDX Dubai introduced group study spaces on the Ground Floor of Block 17 and the Top Floor of Block 15. These areas are designed to promote teamwork and discussion, making it easier for students to work on projects and share ideas in a comfortable, inviting setting.

The new London Theatre located in Block 17 serves as a multifunctional learning space for lectures, classes and performances.

In response to student needs, the library has undergone an expansion, offering even more resources and study areas to support academic research.

Additionally, the Centre for Academic Success (CAS) has expanded its reach, welcoming more counsellors to its brand-new space to provide vital support for mental health and wellbeing. This commitment to student care ensures that every individual can thrive both academically and personally.

The new Sport Performance Lab on the first floor of Block 17 is a major highlight, tailored specifically for the new MSc Sport Performance Analysis programme. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, this lab provides students with hands-on experience in a rapidly growing field.

An additional Fashion Lab (Icon Studio 3) has also been introduced on the same floor, providing fashion students with advanced resources for design and production, ensuring they stay ahead in the competitive industry.

The newly established Neurology Lab further exemplifies MDX Dubai’s commitment to interdisciplinary learning, offering students insight into the workings of the human brain and its relevance across various academic programs, such as Psychology.

While the spotlight is on these innovative spaces, the university continues to support key functions such as Visa, IT, and Finance, ensuring that all students have access to the resources and facilities necessary for success in their respective fields.

With these exciting new additions, MDX Dubai is not just a place to study but a vibrant community that nurtures growth, creativity, and collaboration. As the university continues to expand and innovate, students can look forward to an enriched learning experience that prepares them for the future.
