Always thinking of ways to make obtaining a quality British degree as accessible as possible, Middlesex University Dubai is encouraging students to consider taking an alternative pathway to university.

The British institution’s world-renowned International Foundation Programme (IFP) is specifically designed to help students transition from high school to undergraduate life, and ensure they are properly prepared for the next stage in their studies.

Taking just 30-weeks to complete, IFP graduates are immediately able to begin bachelor’s degrees in a wide array of subjects at Middlesex University Dubai. Indeed, while most pre-university routes take two years to complete, Middlesex’s IFP can be started and finished in the space of just one academic year.

Offering five specialist programmes in Business, Law and Politics, Psychology, Arts and Media, and Engineering and Computer Informatics, the IFP enables young minds to explore a wide range of subject areas and define their ambitions and career prospects from an early stage.

Taught by widely respected industry specialists, the programme covers topics as diverse as how to compile an assignment or report, and where they can receive academic help and guidance. It also allows students to familiarise themselves with the institution’s two state-of-the-art campus sites before beginning their time at university, which for many young people can be quite a daunting and overwhelming transition period.

Providing quality British degrees in the thriving urban metropolis of Dubai, the IFP at Middlesex University Dubai is exactly the same as the one obtained by many local and international students in the UK.

Concise, comprehensive and deeply useful in many ways, the enlightening course also presents a less costly way of accessing a premium degree than some of the alternative foundation courses offered at different universities.  Available for AED 45,570 for the entire one-year programme, it is purposely intended to be accessible to students from all backgrounds.

Furthermore, the IFP is made even more affordable through the institution’s attractive academic scholarships and grants, and its flexible payment plans.

Dr Cedwyn Fernandes, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Middlesex University and Director of Middlesex University Dubai, said: “Many high school students may not be aware that Middlesex University Dubai offers an International Foundation Programme, and we would like to strongly encourage them to consider it as an option. Specifically aimed at students who are looking for a direct, interesting and empowering pathway into university, it ensures that graduates start their undergraduate degree feeling fully prepared and able to get the most out of every minute of their experience. Taking just one year to complete and considerably less expensive than some other university routes, our IFP forms part of our proud ambition to help as many students from the UAE and beyond gain a quality British-approved degree. We are heavily invested in boosting the economy of the UAE and, by offering courses like our IFP, we are ensuring that the nation’s young people go on to achieve successful and admirable careers.
