University Opening Hours during the Winter Break

It’s been a fantastic Autumn Term on campus, and we hope you’ve made lots of new friends and memories for life. There’s even more exciting, action-packed activities and events to come in January – but first, it’s time for your well-deserved winter break.

Your Student Support Services will be operating different opening hours during the winter break, which starts on Saturday 17 December.

Winter Term Start Dates

There are different starting dates for the Winter Term depending on whether you study at Foundation, Undergraduate or Postgraduate level.

Teaching for the Winter Term starts on these dates:

Returning International Foundation Programme (IFP) students – Monday 2January 2023
New International Foundation Programme students – Monday 16 January 2023
New and Returning Undergraduate and Postgraduate students – Monday 16 January 2023

When the University is Closed during the Break

All university services and facilities will be closed during the winter break on the following dates:

Festive Holiday – Friday 23 December 2022 to Sunday 25 December 2022
New Year Holiday – Friday 30 December 2022 to Sunday 1 January 2023

Student Support Services Opening Hours during the Winter Break

These opening hours apply apart from the festive and New Year dates mentioned above when the university is closed.

The below opening hours apply to the Dubai Knowledge Park campus. The Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) campus will be closed from Saturday 17 December 2022 to Monday 2 January 2023.

DIAC will reopen on Monday 2 January for returning IFP students only and reopen on Monday 16 January for all other students.

Library

Monday-Saturday: 9AM – 6PM

Sunday: Closed

Campus Central

Monday-Friday: 8AM – 5PM

Saturday-Sunday: Closed

Centre for Academic Success

The CAS office will be closed from Monday 19 December 2022 to Sunday 1 January 2023.

Students can book appointments from Monday 2 January 2023 onwards.

Study Spaces during the Break

Current students are able to access certain classrooms and labs as silent study areas in Dubai Knowledge Park during the break (Saturday 17 December 2022 to Sunday 15 January 2023), apart from those dates mentioned above when the university is closed.
