Professor Fehmida Hussain is currently the Deputy Director Student Experience and Engagement and Head of the Computer Engineering and Informatics department, School of Science and Technology at Middlesex University Dubai. She is also the head and founder of the enterprise called Center for Innovation in Human Experience and Middlesex University Dubai’s Innovation Hub. She has a DPhil in Informatics from the University of Sussex, UK, is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK and a Chartered IT professional awarded by the BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT. Her professional experience of over 30 years comprises of senior leadership roles and teaching in higher education, performing academic research and working in the Information Technology industry. Her research areas are Responsible Computing and ethics, Cognitive Modeling, Health Informatics, E-Learning, and digital forensics in which she has published papers and presented at international conferences. Professor Fehmida Hussain has been invited for many talks at conferences and panel discussion on the topic of industry-academic collaboration, Women in STEM, Responsible computing and AI. She actively works in the areas of promoting Women in STEM and other social causes.
