Dr Siddhaling Urolagin

Biography

Siddhaling Urolagin has obtained a PhD from Manipal University in the area of machine learning and pattern recognition. His research has been recognised as the second-best research at Manipal University. He has been granted the AICTE fund for an application of document image analysis to translate a scanned document to Braille equivalent during his Ph.D. He has been awarded the Ph.D. in computer science and engineering by the president of India Hon’ble Smt. Prathibha Patil in 2010. He pursued Post-Doctoral research at Lund University, Sweden between the years 2012 to 2014 in the application of machine learning to bioinformatics. 

Before joining Middlesex University Dubai, he served as an associate professor at BITS-Pilani, Dubai Campus, Dubai. He teaches various subjects in computer science and business management subjects such as data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, business intelligence, and data visualisation. He supervised 2 PhD dissertations and he is guiding 3 PhD research scholars. He published around 33 international journal papers, 61 international conference papers, and 5 book chapters.
