Alia completed her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at Middlesex University and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from University College London. Her previous professional background at a non-profit organization focused on advocacy for children’s rights and legal assistance to asylum seekers and refugees. 

Alia’s learning and teaching interests cover Public International Law, International Human Rights Law, Criminology, Public Law and Legal Method. Her research interests include the Rights of the Child, International Refugee Law and Humanitarian Law.
