Mahine holds an MSc in Gender and Development from the London School of Economics (UK), a BSc Honours in International Relations and Development Studies from the University of Sussex, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education.
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
She is a Member of the Institute of Sustainable Development and Ambassador, Women Empowerment Principles of the United Nations Global Compact.
Mahine’s learning and teaching interests include Global Geopolitics, Politics of Globalisation, Migration and Citizenship, Global Governance and Sustainable Development and Migration Policy and Approaches. Her research interests cover gender and international relations, gender and development and Third World feminism.
