Mohammad Ali Meraj is part of our Senior Management Team responsible for our Academic Professional Services and Quality. He is an expert educator and senior leader with over 15 years of experience within the higher education sector in the United Arab Emirates. He leads our Careers and Employability Services (CES), the Centre for Academic Success, the Library, the Quality Office, and the Campus Central. He provides strategic direction for the CES department and its stakeholders to enable our students to be 100% employable.
Albert Johnson
Manager – Human Resources
Albert Johnson is a seasoned Human Resources Professional with 15 years of Experience in Various HR Roles, specialising in Compensation & Benefits Management, Data Analytics, ER, Performance Management, Recruitment & Selection, Policy, and Procedures & UAE labor compliances. He is well versed with labor laws and leads a team of Public Relation Officers is responsible for Onboarding to off-boarding. He lends his expertise in the field to the Careers and Employability Services (CES) department by supporting resume building training, interview training, and employer outreach.


Dr. Lynda Hyland CPsychol AFBPsS SFHEA
Head of the Careers and Employability Department & Senior Lecturer Psychology
Dr. Lynda Hyland is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and a member of the American Psychological Association and holds an M.Sc. in Health Psychology from University College London, and a Ph.D. in Science (Psychology) from the National University of Ireland (Maynooth). She also holds a Professional Certificate in Postgraduate Teaching and Learning from the National University of Ireland, and a PGCertHE in Teaching and Supporting Learning from Middlesex University Dubai. She Heads the Careers and Employability Services and directs career education and planning.
Amanda Fernandes
Manager – Careers and Employability Services
Amanda Fernandes is the Manager of Careers and Employability Services at Middlesex University Dubai. She brings significant training and development expertise across corporate and education sectors in the Middle East. She is passionate about equipping students with the necessary skills to thrive in their careers and is committed to ensuring that students receive vital support as they transition into the workforce or on entrepreneurial ventures. Amanda provides strategic leadership in designing and implementing training programs to enhance students' employability. She excels in building lasting industry partnerships, creating valuable opportunities for students to interact with potential employers.


Mariya Pushkareva
Specialist – Careers and Employability Services
Mariya Pushkareva's professional expertise includes extensive exposure to different industry sectors in Russia and the UAE, underscoring her versatility and adaptability. With over a decade’s experience as a scientific researcher in the oil and gas sector, she seamlessly transitioned through sales and marketing roles into Careers and Employability Services. Currently, Mariya is dedicated to sharing her industry knowledge to empower individuals navigating diverse career pathways. Her specialisation lies in employer outreach, working towards broadening horizons and enriching the landscape of career opportunities available to Middlesex University Dubai students.
Marwa Iqbal
Coordinator – Careers and Employability Services
Marwa Iqbal has a diverse educational background, having done a BSc in Biotechnology and an MBA in Healthcare and Human Resources. Her professional experience spans over 5 years in the educational setting and she specialises in Career Services and Alumni Outreach. In her role as the Coordinator for the Careers and Employability Services Department, she provides students support through training programs for resume building, interview preparation training, and career advice sessions to help students prepare for employer interactions. Additionally, she handles employer engagement, liaises with faculty coordinators, and plays an active role in organising departmental events and communicating training information to students.
